Film Review
Things which worked -
1) The camera work was decent, with a good amount of smart angle techniques such as high and low angles to create a sense of power or weakness.
2) The acting wasn't too shabby, but it was my first time acting for a video and in front of a camera so I wasn't able to give it my best shot.
3) The editing wasn't that bad, it met every requirement but didn't do anything more.
4) The story was easy to follow and understand, although it wasn't super in depth.
Things which didn't work-
1) The acting at points wasn't that great, as a result of me feeling a bit uncomfortable.
2) A lot of the video is pretty blurry, but this was a result of having one lesson to shoot.
3) There is absolutely no music or noise, this was a choice because we knew we didn't have enough time to do add that stuff.
4) The story (while easy to follow) suffers from lack of plot and has minimal story, but wasn't too bad for a one lesson project.
Overall, it was a successful video is most aspects, especially considering it only took us 30 minutes to shoot, as well as come up with the story along the way. We would have liked to have much longer to shoot and create the story, but unfortunately due to set backs we couldn’t. All in all though it was a very good and successful film for the context of it.
